STUDENT ADMISSION AND GRADUATION POLICY OF THE UNIVERSITY

 Admission Policy

  1. Candidates seeking admission to the University for First Degree Courses must obtain and complete the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms.
  2. For admission to all courses, candidates must satisfy the admission requirement of the University for some Courses, additional Faculty/Department requirements have to be satisfied.
  3. New Admissions will normally be made only in September/October every year.
  4. At the time of registration in the University, each candidate will be required to present the originals of the certificates or any other acceptable evidence of the qualifications on the basis of which the offer of admission has been made.
  5. If it is discovered at any time that a candidate does not possess any of the qualifications, which he/she claims to have obtained, he/she will be expelled from the University.
  6. Students shall, on admission pay to the university, all the fees prescribed by regulations.

       General Admission Requirements for Business Administration

The entry requirements for the B.Sc. Honours degree in Business Administration includes credit in Mathematics, English Language and Economics at West African School Certificate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC) or National Examination Council (NECO) and the General Certificate of Education, Ordinary Level.

However, there are two entry points into B.Sc. (Hons) Business Administration, viz:

  1. UTME: Students seeking admission into four-year degree programme in B.Sc. (Hons) in Business Administration should possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate or General Certificate Examination or their equivalents with five credit passes which must include English Language, Mathematics, and Economics at not more than two sittings.
  2. Direct Entry: For the three-year programme, a candidate is expected to meet the minimum entry requirement into the University as stipulated in (i) above in addition to possessing at least two Advanced Level passes in relevant subjects. Holders of National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) with at least Upper Credit grade in Accounting, Financial Studies, Banking and Finance, Business Administration and Management and any other recognized Diploma Certificates obtained from any recognized University may be considered.

Potential students must, in addition to meeting the general admission requirements, also satisfy the faculty and departmental requirements detailed below:
